Heathland, moors and large forests: This varied circular route takes you through the heathland areas of Hildener Heide and Ohligser Heide. Families with children can cycle safely here along the mainly flat trails.
Great adventures for kids
Besides experiencing nature, there is also lots of fun and games to be had. Park your bike up at the Engelsberger Hof and take a break in the rambling meadows. There is a children’s adventure playground in the forest.
Take a dip - in Hilden or in Solingen
Fancy a refreshing dip along the way? Two idyllically situated outdoor pools are just the ticket for cooling off in the summer.
Tip: At the end of the cycle tour, be sure to fit in a visit to Mr Owl and his friends... Solingen Vogelpark is home to a wide variety of bird species as well as other animals from all over the world.
