Once Merten is left, the route continues steadily uphill through pretty deciduous forest and around the 234 m high “Küpp” elevation. After a section through a sparse forest renewal area, a meadow path leads you downhill into the idyllic Mengbachtal. Always follow the course of the stream through the narrow valley, with steep and densely wooded mountain slopes bordering the valley on the left and right. What peace! Many rare animal and plant species find a very special ecological niche in the stream and the adjacent wild meadows. A narrow forest path takes you to the “Gecksbitze”. In the forest, a green clearing under chestnut trees surprises. On the crest of the hill you discover a lonely fruit grove. The Storcker Hut offers the opportunity to take a long break on a lush meadow with a barbecue area and a hiking lounger. We then continue along a quiet road into the Dorfbachtal and along wooded slopes to Bohlscheid. You can fully enjoy the fantastic panoramic view on the comfortable route. At the end you will encounter the Überbuschbach on narrow paths and hike over the Kelterser Berg and the Siegbrücke to Eitorf train station. Victory has us again.
